WELCOME TO KUIPER !!
PLUTO IS OUR NINTH PLANET
Discovered in 1930, Pluto was named our ninth planet. Its name came from the Roman god of the dead. In 2006- about one-third of its year later- that title was taken away by the IAU and Pluto was classified as a dwarf planet. The name Pluto becomes ironic considering how in Greek mythos the god Hades, whose Roman equivalent is Pluto, is cast away from Olympus in the sky. There are 8 major planets and 5 named dwarf planets in our solar system. Of our named dwarf planets, there's Ceres, Pluto, Haumea, Makemake, and Eris. All except for Ceres are located in the Kuiper Belt.
